Two racerback bras, two fabrics

We make two racerback bras: a cotton racerback bralette made with 91% organic cotton, and a racerback sports bra in at least 60% recycled nylon. Both use the same wide racer back, and between them they cover most of what the cut is good for.

What is a racerback bra?

A racerback bra has straps that angle inward and meet between the shoulder blades, instead of running straight down from each cup. The back becomes a single piece, usually a Y or a T, and the straps sit closer to the neck than on a standard bra. They turn up in searches as razor back bras, and the cut is the reason: the straps draw in toward the spine. It is the shape to wear under a racerback tank, where straight straps would show.

The cotton racerback bra

The Flex Racer Back Bralette pulls on over your head, with no hook and no wire. It is made with 91% organic cotton and a little elastane, in a wide racer back, and it gives flexible support rather than lift. That is what makes this cotton racerback bralette the everyday one of the two.

The racerback sports bra

The Active Racer Back Bra is built for medium-impact training, in at least 60% recycled nylon with elastane for stretch. Wear it for a class or a run, or under everyday clothes when you want something sportier. Our racerback sports bras sit inside the wider active bras collection if you want to compare the other cuts.

Making it a set

For training, either bra pairs with our bike shorts for women, or with our women’s active shorts once it is warm enough.

Sizes, colors and washing

Nearly every style comes in XXS to XXXL. Between the two bras the colors are Black, Cranberry, Lavender Mist, Night Sky, Soft Breeze, Summer Wine and Walnut. Machine wash cold and skip the tumble dryer, which helps the elastane keep its stretch. Learn more about our approach to materials here.
