Padded bras, in 83% recycled nylon
We make one wireless padded bra, the Smooth Padded Bra: 83% recycled nylon with elastane in the body, a firmer knit at the underband, and a polyester cup lining. It is wireless, with a triangle neckline.
Is a padded bra the same as a wired one?
No, and this one is the reason the distinction matters: it is padded and wireless, where padded and wired usually go together. The padding is a soft cushioned cup rather than a molded one, and the support comes from the band rather than from a wire. So this sits closer to a bralette with shape than to a structured bra — worth knowing if you came looking for padded bras expecting a wire.
Why there is no cotton version
This is a nylon bra, and deliberately. A cushioned cup needs a fabric that recovers after it is compressed, which is what the 83% recycled nylon and the elastane do together. We do not make a cotton version of this bra. There is a padded cotton bra in the range — the Core Push-Up Bra, which is wired — so if cotton matters more than going wireless does, that is the one to look at.
Under what
The triangle neckline is the reason to choose it: it sits low enough for a wide neck and narrow enough not to show at the strap. The colors run from Black and Walnut through Sandstone and Off White to Lavender Mist, Sky Blue, Pink and Elderflower Green.
