A safer alternative to hanging out in your pants in the heat.
"This is funny. . it says above this review people usually talk about the “weather” in regard to this item! Well let’s start with that, I would hate to stand out. . it’s been very hot recently lately hasn’t it?? Oo I hope we are going to get some rain soon my garden is parched. . Ok! That’s that out of the way. . what else, it says people talk about the night?? Um, it’s darker than daytime? I think I’m going to have to break rank now (as I’m struggling to see the relevance of these topics) and actually talk about the shorts, hope that doesn’t overwhelm anyone. I’m a big fan of the t shirt in this material, less so the underwear, see other reviews for details. I’d not really considered the shorts tbh but then during the recent heatwaves I’d noticed the t shirts are actually the best thing I’ve got for the heat, they dry so fast and are super thin it dawned on me the shorts might beat the linen and hemp ones I’ve got just like the tee has topped linen shirts I generally wear. I’ve found that to be the case I think. . around the house, one good thing is they don’t get all creased up sitting on the couch melting like linen ones particularly, they are quite short compared to ordinary shorts, I might pop to the corner shop in them with some flops on for speed but I don’t think I’d go out in them not least because I find the extreme stetchiness. . well. . forget putting anything in the pockets. . it’ll be round your ankles. . and one area they lose out is there’s no belt loop (I’m not saying I’d wear a belt but this can be great for clipping keys on in shorts) if it were me I’d dispense with the front pockets I think OB and save money they just feel wrong and have maybe a back pocket?? That way you don’t feel like “Johnny big schlong” walking around with your wallet clanging around your bits. The extreme thinness of the material does make them cooler in the heat and yes folks. . I think you could go commando (I never do this because I find everything moving around. . you get sore bits. . but this material is super soft so. . ) and you could sleep in them for sure. . just like the tee, ideal sleep wear. I would like to get the trousers but I don’t like baggy, thin trousers with wide openings at the foot . . in bed or not it just feels like too much material when it’s soft and floppy like this stuff. . hard to explain. Ideally some loose long johns or fitted track pants would be perfect, that’s exactly what I like to wear bed times in winter. As I’ve said before this material once it gets faded is a bit of a handful. . it shows water marks, you can’t even wash your face in it. . so going commando. . you will have to be very careful if you answer the call of nature I think. . the tees are great in the heat but if you get really sweaty. . they don’t cover it up. . dark patches. . this is perhaps why the stone colour is popular. Overall these are a bit of a more acceptable option to hanging out in your pants, if they had no pockets you could use them as underwear because there are currently no premium boxers. The length means you don’t have the possibility of sitting talking to someone and realising a part of your anatomy is hanging out the leg opening as can happen with normal boxer shorts underwear! It would be great if they didn’t have elastic exposed but elastic covered by the material or a draw string as if you get sweaty elastic like it is does get clammy. The waist size isn’t critical I don’t feel as it’s stretchy and they aren’t fitted like trunks, I bought small a size smaller than my usual as I didn’t want huge shorts but when you wear with undercrackers the double hit of elastic is a bit much Have I said enough? Covered everything. . I think so!"
